Title of thesis : Study of the impact of nature exposure on human health and cognition
Year of registration : 2025

Summary of the thesis : The PhD project focus on the neurosciences, public health and epidemiology aspects of the project. The objectives are as follows:
1- To measure exposure to nature in the general population and study the factors associated with the level of exposure (analysis of inequalities in access to nature).
2- To study the effects of nature exposure on mental health and identify the factors that may modify these effects: living environment (rural vs. urban), socio-political and environmental conditions, gender and age group, etc.
3-To identify vulnerable periods in early life when access to or exposure to nature may have a greater impact on behaviour towards nature, the need to be in contact with nature and health.
4- To determine the minimum amount of exposure to nature needed to produce beneficial effects on health, and whether this amount varies according to age, gender, and socio-political and environmental conditions
