Teddy Novais and Marie Viprey, researchers in our laboratory, are offering a training program for healthcare professionals on the theme of supporting medication adherence using motivational interviewing (MI) techniques. – See the brochure..
Registrations are open at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 via the FOCAL continuing education department.
The aim of this interprofessional training course is to enable participants to acquire fundamental knowledge of therapeutic adherence and skills in EM. The training aims to implement a semi-structured approach to medication adherence, placing the patient at the center of the interview in order to support him/her (motivational approach).
This is the first French-language interprofessional training program on therapeutic adherence support, based on ME methods. It was developed in 2020 by members of our public health laboratory RESHAPE INSERM U1290 (Marie Viprey, Teddy Novais, Anne-Marie Schott & Alexandra Dima) in collaboration with Marie-Paule Schneider, Professor of Adherence and Interprofessionality at the University of Geneva, and Cristiana Fortini, motivational interviewing trainer, psychologist at Lausanne's CHUV and lecturer at the University of Lausanne.
The 2023/2024 training course will be led by Géraldine Pierret (IDE, EM trainer) and Teddy NOVAIS (pharmacist MCU-PH, ETP trainer).
The course will be run online (4 x 1h15 webinars) and face-to-face in Lyon (3 days).
It is open to doctors, pharmacists, nurses and health psychologists (professionals involved in discussions with patients on therapeutic adherence). We will also be offering it to pharmacy and medical interns.
